Now adding the Buu Saga, fragments of the movies and some little details from Dragon ball GT.ī1 in 2002 had impressive graphics who captured beautifully the expressions and the scenario, and, counter parting B3, it had no cell-shading in the game, which is cool.ī3, like I said, had cell-shading graphics who showed in a incredible way the Dragon Ball Z Universe, and all the effects, and even today, with the HD graphics it can be impressive for you. The cutscenes now are just sprites of the characters with the dialogue in balloons, which is kinda boring.

In B3, you have the classic way that went to the actual days, where you are free flying over the DBZ World, going place to place with a map. The cutscenes tell scenes of the Anime that none game told after, with beautiful detail and graphics for the time.
In B1, you basically have the best sagas of Dragon Ball Z told in one of the best ways in all DBZ game history. I will review the game with 2 different notes, one to DBZ Budokai 1 and another to DBZ Budokai 3.ĭragon Ball Z it's so classic that is even dumb trying to tell the story, but it's basically about a man named Goku saving the universe from different enemies, one stronger than another.

DBZ Budokai HD is a wave of nostalgia coming right away on your face of both old gamers who grew up with DB and the new gamers who played it on your PS2 or your Gamecube. I want so much that with the new generation of console, they bring back the golden age of the DBZ games, that the 360/PS3 generation couldn't bring any game who isn't mediocre or average. OVERALL-This game was meant for people who played this is the old days for the Nostalgia and the fun.A most buy for DBZ fans and fighting fans alike. All in all, I think this game really does shine and it's great to have.Sadly, there's not that much replay value. It also has a amazing soundtrack.ĭRAGON BALL Z BUDOKAI HD COLLECTION - By far one of the best Dragon Ball Z Games Everĭragon Ball games are as old as the jewel created by Akira Toriyama. Even if you didn't almost all achievements are Story Related and easy to obtain. In World Tournament, you can win prize money and purchase items from Mr.Popo.ĪCHIEVEMENTS-If you had this game back in the day,(Like me) 1000G is child's play. There Is also Dragon Arena which is unlocked when you beat every other characters DU. There's also The World Tournament and The Cell Gameswhich I think is a lot of fun.
MULTIPLAYER/OTHER MODES-Sadly,this game doesn't provide Online. It does have Duel mode so you and your friend can go face to face. If you don't use special moves like the Kamehameha or Masenko it's very boring. Also, unlike Budokai 1 where you just play through levels, in Budokai 3,there's a overhead map so you can chose where to go.(This is how you unlock most secret characters) GAMEPLAY/CONTROLS -Just like Burst Limit It's a 2D fighter with 3D backgrounds.Just like many other fighting games (Tekken,Mortal Kombat,Dead Or Alive Etc.) The controls are very easy to handle and moves are just as easy to pull off. I really can't tell the story that much mainly because you have so many and it may spoil it for some.If you never played a DBZ agame or watched the Anime, it's a VERY good story. Sadly, DBZ Budokai only goes up to the Cell Saga. While DBZ Budokai 3 goes to the Buu saga and you see people from other sagas (Broly Saga and The GT Saga). STORY- Just like in every DBZ game (For the Xbox 360) you play through a number of sagas.
With new HD graphics and fun and easy Achievements to unlock,I say it's fantastic! In my opinion, it's not a REAL Budokai collection because,it's missing Budokai 2.Other than that,it's a great collection especially if you played them back in the day. Goku and his friends are back from the past with these two amazing games in HD.You get DBZ Budokai (2002) and DBZ Budokai 3 (2004). Dragon Ball Z is back and better than ever.
